I know it's not a LEAF item but this is probably the most knowledgeable post for the dead bird. Has anyone seen the new Atom SL in person and can comment on the colors? I guess to tie it in does anyone know if there is a plan to do something similar in the LEAF line?

The only thing I would say is that the Crocodile color quantities will not be as high as the Multicam and Wolf colors. Please let me know if you need more info on this!

Shellback Tactical Customer Service Sucks

B+Shooter ·
I wanted to put something out here since I wasn't sure if my experience was unique, or par for the course. I will try to stick to the main point rather than airing every pissy comment that came up during my multiple calls. I ordered a Banshee PC and 2 Level IV plates last month immediately after the LE attacks in Dallas/Baton Rouge. A lot of companies sold out of what they had quickly, and Shellback was one of the only companies that still had armor packages in stock, so I paid a premium...

It's not a "full" 6094, but a quick don setup. The carrier + level IV ceramic plates for $299. Perfect for Active Shooter kit in the cruiser trunk. London Bridge has been 100% for good customer service, and their package will be what recommend to my guys for trunk kits.

Re: Shellback Tactical Customer Service Sucks

B+Shooter ·
Dan, I appreciate it. I took advantage of London Bridge Trading's 6094 & plates package. The price was great, the package arrived at my house within 3 days (and some patches in the box too). LBT has always been good to me, even warranty repairs that were my fault. The Banshee seemed decent. Probably a good product. Unfortunately it'll never get a fair look with Shellback's abysmal customer service.

B+, give Mike at AT armor a call. He's an industry friend, and general GOOD GUY. He should be able to get you what you need for a good price. I'm sorry your experience with Shellback sucked, but given that they were a spinoff form TAG, I'm not entirely surprised.

Having used both, I think you are far better off with the 6094. I'm running a Mayflower APC now, (like I even need a PC anymore....), but the 6094 is still my favorite set up.

Thanks for the AAR. I have seen Aaron on a couple of videos on youtube and was wondering how he is as an instructor.I found the SOB sling to stow and deploy better under the band than my VTAC. It doesn't have the padding and the adjustment hardware isn't located in the "middle" of the sling.

Great AAR, as usual, PB!! Interesting point on the slings. I put some SOB bands on my rifles - didn't pick up on the buckles yet, but the padding gets a bit 'big' when folded. Thanks for the info....... Stay safe Brother!!

Since this was a closed L/E class, some questions - what was the weight or percentage of handgun vs carbine? When carbines were used, were they in racks, cased in trunks, or in the pax compartment shoved into gaps between seats & center consoles? Interesting ... so, I had a completely different take on the instructor from his writings and videos.
