A next-best-thing solution- Ruger Gunsite Scout mags fit the magwell, they're apparently close enough in dimensions to AICS mags. Straight out of the box, they don't feed real well in mine (700AAC-SD). I compared the Magpul and Ruger mags side-by-side and found that the top round sits slightly nose up in the Magpul product. I filed the feed lips in the Ruger so that they now taper and are thinner in the front. This allows the round to sit more nose-up, like the Magpul, and it feeds much better.

They finally INCLUDED QD sockets. It's about time.

I don't like the ASAP QD position. If you collapse the stock, you have to detach your sling. Other than that, looks good.

What are you talking about? The original UBR has two QD cups included in the stock.

There's no free lunch. That's why there's two additional QD cups towards the rear of the stock.

Not at this time, the Hunter 700 Long Action stock is the same in features as the current Hunter 700 stock for short actions.

I think he is referring to all of the other Magpul stocks, of late, which required the separate purchase of QD socket hardware.

Thanks for the heads up. Looks like a year for the LA bottom mag / metal to roll out for my Gen 2 R700 model 85197 in 5R 300WM factory black cerkote . I'm still waiting for the 10 round mags on the Hunter Short Action due at the same time ... Magpuls move out of Colorado moved products (and quality I think) far out into the future

We appreciate the continued interest in our products. The PMAG 10 AC has been going through testing and will be out soon. Time frames are quoted according to best estimates but sometimes those dates are adjusted according to testing results. We could cut some corners to get product to market sooner but that's now how we got to where we are.

I hope the Long Action Pmags come in other calibers then .300 WM - there are so many other calibers to chose from that require a smaller gap then the Win Mag.

Making the buffer tube A5 length is smart as fuck. What I'd really like to see is replaceable cheek piece covers. Specifically for those who like the sloped cheek weld. I used to have a UBR on my SPR, but after spending a bunch of time shooting my other guns with STR/ACS stocks, going back to the UBR was like ". . . The fuck, where's my cheek weld?" So off it went, to be replaced with an ACS.

It looks like some decent improvements on the surface, however that eye relief is still terrible for a legit precision rifle.

FEATURES: * Mounts to rifle-length, mil-spec carbine, or A5-length receiver extension tubes (not included) This is the biggest improvement IMHO. I never bought the PRS for my LMT AR10 because I didn't want to have to add a rifle extension tube, and wanted the flexibility of using a regular ACS, ACS-S.A.P.R, CTR, stock for more of a battle rifle configuration. Currently the only option out there was LMT's precision stock (which is pretty pricey and never on sale, unlike Magpul's PRS). Once...
