Guys, I've been using a great pair of North Face Ultra Fastpack Mid boots for the last couple of years and it is getting close to replacement time. I love the following things about the Fastpack:
- Fits like a high top running shoe.
- Breathable (Goretex in boots is the dumbest thing ever).
Unfortunately, TNF stopped making the NON Goretex version of the Ultra Fastpack Mid. Now I'm stuck with plastic bags on my feet if I want to keep the same comfort, fit and weight. NOT an option. So, I turn to you boot experts.
I've also got an older pair of Asolos but they are a much sturdier boot, and I've found that the stiffer construction really causes heel lift and blistering, where the Fastpack flexed easily and conformed to my feet better. I'm willing to trade off some foot fatigue from a more flexible boot, for heels that don't blister.
