Ocular lens camera

Fellas

I've searched via the internet machine but couldn't find what I am looking for, so I am asking y'all for help.

I am looking for a camera system that I could "clip on" to the ocular bell of a rifle to capture the view being observed by the shooter. I'd like to be able capture this view with video and stills. I'd use it to teach holds, look for flinch, etc. I'd also like to be able to transmit the view to a distant screen. This could possibly be by wire, or if not too expensive, by (encrypted) wireless.

 Org email available upon request

Thanks in advance for the help.

Something like this?

Thank you! But no. That'd probably work for  a general field of view kind of thing. But Im looking for a thingey that would attach to the occular bell so the actual view of the shooter is captured.

Ever see videos of pellet gun hunters? They use brackets to mount cameras behind their optic. View through it as they record. Thats the view I'd like to capture and ideally, be able to transmit, but still allow a conventional shooting position.

Thank you again for replying.

It sounds like we're going for something like this: https://tnvc.com/shop/nvg-adap...-gopro-hero-cameras/ but for rifle scopes. I'm not sure such an animal exists due in part to a lack of standardization scopes.

I think the videos you are speaking of are mostly taken with a iphone scope mount, which in theory will do what you want it to do but the shooter would have to be off scope. I understand what you're saying you want it to do but if you were to place a camera on the forward scope bell to teach hold over you would lose the reticle picture. The shooter would see it through the scope but the camera would not. The other problem is that it may interfere with the scope focus because you are adding another lens.

The ATN scope above does just about everything you want it to but the reticle is very basic.  I love the idea though, I can see this being an awesome teaching tool.

For the upcoming eclipse event, I purchased a cellphone mount for my telescope similar to this: https://www<<<DOT>>>amazon.com/Cellphone-Digiscoping-Riflescope-Binocular-Microscope/dp/B01MXLKQXJ/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1502479072&sr=8-2-spons&keywords=cell+phone+mount+telescope&psc=1

It works pretty well, and it's adjustable allowing you to use it on several optics (going to use it with my spotting scope).  It may work for you, but you'll lose the ability to use the eyepiece.  It seems like that may be a deal breaker for your needs.

I have definitely seen such a thing. Ring, with adjustment or multiple rings, prism, etc. Sorta like the old training aids that let an instructor stand to the side and see the same through your scope.

I can find photos of such setups but no idea who makes them

All those I have seen have SVHS or BNC connectors and provide video feeds, for coordinating sniper actions to a central command post (or record for later review) but there's no reason the principle wouldn't work for any other capture device and those makers couldn't provide the same device with a simple bracket to mount a phone on top of the scope. I'd ask them if I knew who they were.

Here's one adapter to plug a phone into the back of a scope/etc. but it is inline so you'd have to aim through the phone. Here's another. There are dozens.

Found one, US maker even: http://www.hookertactical.com/new-color-eye-cam.html

They even have a version small enough to stick on NODs. Neat.

No idea of price. Probably crazy high.

Cannot find a single smartphone mount that has a prism, let's you look through the scope. All cheap look-through-the-phone-screen systems. Weak.
