"I think it will be tough to get all of your wanted features in one pair of pants, especially the button fly."

Yup.  I definitely know this, lol.  That's why I PREFERED a button fly.

I've had half of my pants wear out from zippers blowing out, a few from snaps or metal 'button' things failing above the zipper, and the rest from a variety of things like crotch blow-outs and such.  The above lists basically fixes most of the problems I've run into with pants.  I could probably triple the effective lifespan of my pants - on average - if I could get that list done.

I actually like the standard BDU pants OK.  I've got a couple pair I wear, mostly the shorts version.  The fit is a little obviously BDUish, no canadian buttons (though I guess that's fixable on my end), and the cargo pockets tend to snag on things relatively easily.

Anyone know anyone who makes a decent actual 50/50 NYCO earth-tones BDU with button fly?

I looked at Duluth, but I need cargo pants...and the cargo pockets need to be button pockets.  I absolutely DESPISE velcro-closing cargo pockets.  They don't close securely and they wear out pretty quickly.
