Hey guys, has anyone modified a Safariland 6378 (or similar...ALS kydex holster) to allow for a threaded barrel?  I'm running a Glock 20 as my bear-country gun.  I know 20s aren't super-common, and I'm not sure where to look for aftermarket parts.  Are there people who make after-market "plug kits" (if that's the right term) that make enough space to run a threaded barrel in a Safariland ALS holster for the big-framed Glocks?

I have to run a "match" barrel because my bear rounds are Underwood flat-nose hard-cast lead, which is incompatible with Glock's factory polygonal-rifled barrels (lead build-up due to the rifling geometry causes the famous "Glock boom" if you try to use unjacketed ammo with them).  My "match" barrel with the necessary rifling to run unjacketed bullets is threaded, and I'd rather not have to buy a new barrel to use this holster.  Any thoughts on where to start looking?

If you remove the disk at the bottom of the 6378 the G20 with threaded barrel may fit.  Another option would be checking to see if they make a 6378 for the G40.  A G20 with threaded barrel may fit the G40 holster much like my comped G19 fits a 6378 for a G34 perfectly.

Unless your running a light bearing model this is no plug and it will just stick out the bottom of the holster.

If you have a light bearing model you may need a plug kit which is presently difficult to find with holster ops going offline.
