Does anyone have more information about the threats stopped by this plate? Apparently it is a steel plate laminated between ceramic.

I got one second hand but my 3M Ceradyne contact stopped responding after I asked her about the plate's threat protection. Not sure if that was on purpose or just pure coincidence.

I've seen some second hand info that it's level IV standalone but thought it'd be wise to ask and confirm what I'm using.

On the sites where I've seen the Ceradyne Defender 275's for sale, they've been described as ultra-light Level IV multi-hit standalone inserts. I know very little about these inserts besides that and the fact (from a lot of lurking) that the Defender line compromises Ceradyne's medium tier of ceramic inserts.
