Jim Dexter found an issue with his comped duty pistol and his Safariland ALS duty holster.

Placing the pistol into the holster for one handed manipulation with the slide locked to the rear requires the ALS system to be deactivated twice.

The first deactivation unlocks the weapon for draw, the second release is required to allow the comp to pass through the locking mechanism.

The issue seems to be with the space between the slide and comp when the slide is locked back.

The shoulder of the comp locks into the mechanism of the ALS.

anybody find a reasonable fix for this?

You just drop the slide before holstering, then reload, and finally run the slide by whatever means you would during a one-handed malfunction clearance.
