Greetings,

I MAY be working out a little trade for the above mentioned pistol just because....reasons.  I dunno.  Boredom I guess.

Anyway, if anyone has one of these and could let me know what you think of them, that would be great.

Also, if I make the trade, I will (because it's what I do) be sending it off to Cajun Gun Works, the all-knowing, all-seeing CZ pistol gurus for their carry package.  If anyone has used them, I would appreciate your insight as well.  Thanks.

I have sent five pistols to Cajun Gun Works and have been happy with their workmanship and communication on each one.  Each time, the pistol has been returned with noticeable improvement.  While I haven't sent them a CZ 75 D Compact, I did have them do a CZ 75 pre-B for me, and if I could find a Safariland at a reasonable price, I'd carry it.  CGW is worth what you pay, which isn't a heck of a lot compared to some other gunsmiths.

These popped up on my radar as well...

Last week, I had my co-worker bring his in for a look.  There's some serious potential there if you're looking for a decent DA/SA "compact".  Better sights and a trigger job are certainly required.  I'm curious if it could be RMR'd.

"Pain, we endure...faulty weaponry, we do not."

I can be RMRed  and CGW can do it.

I’ve been looking at the 75 compact for quite some time. Not the D PCR version just the  standard 75 compact.  One of my LGS’s has one. Never shot one but the feel in the hand is sweet. The grip frame has a Hi-Power feel to it.

Mojo likey.

Does it hurt?  Being RMRed, I mean.

Even more than you can imagine.  Especially with no epidural.

I knew someone had mentioned CZs and CGW before.  Thank you.  Yeah, this PCR is minty with night sights.  Looks like I'm trading a Randall for it.  The complete carry package with me adding g a crowned barrel and SS guide rod is just about $500 which as you mentioned is practically free in the custom world.  Kinda excited.  Hope the trade works out.

The other option for CZ work is the CZ Custom Shop in Phoenix. I’ve played around with a couple guys USPSA Production guns that they’ve gone through and was very impressed.

Finally picked it up today.   First impression?  This is going to be one heck of a carry gun.  Love the aluminum frame.   Fit and finish is outstanding.   Off to CGW soon.

Hmmmm, not sure if I am in the right place or if your account was hacked. I have reviewed this and there not a single HK or custom 1911 in sight.

The blade steel, could be the distraction.

I'm not a blade guy, so I must ask; What is that with the CZ?

It looks elegantly chunky-deadly.

Got the email from CGW today to send my pistol in.  Going with their pro carry package, Dawson Precision night sights, SS guide rod and barrel crowning.  Pretty excited about this.

You should be. They do great work. You'll really enjoy that gun when you get it back.
