DownRangeGear

Amazing customer service, ordered a NOD retention lanyard, and found it didn't quite fit the new NOROTOS mount without a bit of modding.  Emailed him to give him a heads up and he insisted on sending me a new one because he didn't want me walking around with "fucked up kit".  Solid dude, hope all is well.

Did you try emailing him before asking here?  Honest question, not trying to be a dick.  The last time I communicated with Chris was late 2014.  This is the email address I have for him: downrangegear AT gmail.com.

This a really solid dude.  I would not hesitate to use any of his kit.  Wish him and his all the best.

Apologies for reviving this post, but has anyone successfully received an order recently?

I placed an order almost two weeks ago and haven't received anything but a paypal receipt - radio silence from DRG and the website still shows a message about suspended operations for the Christmas holidays. Are they still operational?

My brother placed an order with him a month ago and has not received anything yet. He's emailed him a bunch of times and hasn't received a response. We were also wondering if they're still operational or whether there was a phone number to call for an update.

That message is from 2016, Chris never took it down. To preface this, before this (my last experience) I had ordered from DRG multiple items, each time with no problems. The last time I ordered from him was last year. The same thing happened to me, after I ordered/paid I only received a PP email receipt.

I emailed him about asking for an ETA, but received no response. After that it took about 2 weeks or so before I finally received some of my items. It turns out some were out of stock, but I never received a notification about that. After that I decided to look elsewhere. Before this I had even had him do some custom cummerbunds for my buddy's plate carrier.

His custom work is awesome, but I without knowing the full details I think he's either taken on too much or things have changed. At one point he had told me that he would be expanding finished custom items on his site, but this was about 2 years ago. His blog indicated about upcoming changes, but that too has been awhile since it was last posted.

Thanks for the feedback. I wish I could say it's good to hear I'm not alone, but I would prefer this order was just a fluke. DRG was my go-to not that long ago.

This is what I get for spending 3 years in TRADOC - I come back and I don't know where to find shit anymore.

I just sent him the following:

Chris,

If you even remember your login there, a few members just posted, expressing concerns about poor communication over recent orders they placed, wondering if you were even still in business.

I hope you can unscrew their concerns.

I’ve worked with him for OT&E and collaborated on designs for ablong while, until a few years ago.  When we last spoke he was expanding capability in order to keepup with the crush of .mil orders.  He was also working on a new chest rig design that had potential to really break new ground, so yeah, he was occupied.

I don’t have his personal number anymore, and i’m overseas anyway, so the email wil have to suffice for now.  I’ll circle back when he hits me up.

Ordered items on 03JUL18; payment taken but no confirmation email... nor any response from repeated inquiries (x3) Does anyone have comms with him?

Sounds like that's what I should do also?

I guess it all depends on what you need. I really hope this is a temporary bump in the road that gets sorted out, but I'm about to head down range (no pun intended) and don't have a lot of time to wait around for gear solutions that may or may not arrive.

Adding onto this to see if there has been any updates. I placed an order a few weeks back and haven't heard or received anything. Hasn't been a terribly long wait, or a large order, but I'm concerned after reading this.

Nope! DRG still MIA - I believe some have gotten their refunds? I'm just hoping for a return email...

I’m shifting to other methods to try and discern what is going on with Chris.  Stand by

Yeah he was/is a really good dude; there has to be something drastic happening here.

My source says he is alive and well.  He has not responded to my two emails, though.
