That handle looks very nice. Are you going to try any other color combinations?

Rob I can get coyote/earth brown, black/blue and a few others. I actually have the coyote/earth stuff here. i think I will like that better than the above.
i also have black/toxic green but after seeing the black/OD, i think it will be way too much. I am very anti-bling you know

Any chance we can get a pic posted of the coyote/earth brown? Sounds like it would look great!
Oh yeah, I like those grips.

Speaking of which, the 1911 has a nice set. Looks sort of like the Simonov Gunner Grips, if I spelled his name right. Did you know that Montana knife maker?

He was quick to send me a 2nd set after the 1st never arrived and charged me nada for the 2nd one. I don't forget that sort of customer service. And then he was killed in a car crash. Crap happens, but don't you wish it happened to the shit-for-brains of this world, not the decent people?

Prototype hollow ground utility knife: This is made of .250" thick 5160 spring steel, probably do CPM 3V or S35VN soon.

Blade is 4.5" from tip to handle
OAL is 9.125"
This was just a quick and dirty proto, but it came out really close to what I was wanting. The handle came out 1/8" longer than the sketch, but that is fine.

Thinking of calling it the Murican....

I like this. When you get into a production mode and decide on a price I would like to be on the list. Please
Holy shit. First time seeing this thread, and your knives. And I'm now completely lusting after a Seax as my next duty knife. Your site says your not taking new orders so whenever you start I'm ready to buy. I'd like to PM you questions about which steel I'd use for my planned use when the time comes.
Damn man those look good. Made the rookie mistake of showing hh6, she now wants a pink knife.... Myself and several buds at my dept. are watching this thread very closely, looking forward to when you start taking orders again!

Mucho spiffy-o. I'm thinking that with a wee bit shorter blade (but could work with it as-is), that would be a very sensible hunting knife. The blade shape looks very usable for skinning vs. a blade with a straighter edge and that's a good thing.

I kind of intended this for an all around hunting/utility/field knife, I have yet to field it and test it out on my belt. hope to be on horseback next week chasing elk, so maybe I will get a chance to see how it carries and works.

I'm looking forward to seeng how this thing works out. I would like to field on myself, it looks perfect for a hunter/utility knife and if its called "The Murican" that's even better.

I just did a sheath for this knife, and will report back with pics on how it did in the field.

If it makes it to the next phase, I will probably do a couple in 3/16" thick O1, which is what I should have done for the proto, but I didn't have any at the time that inspiration struck.

For a high carbon steel working man's knife I really like the O1, it works very well and you don't need much to sharpen it.

Your Tanto was originally what I wanted, but I'm leaning towards the SEAX right now. They're both pretty bad ass. Which one would you suggest as a duty belt do it all knife? I carry an Emerson combat Karambit folder in my support side pants pocket, and want to add a fixed blade to my duty belt.
here are some new prototypes:

Just under 6.5" OAL, 3" blade.
this knife came about because I sometimes get tire of a full sized knife day in and out.
I am going to sew up a leather cross draw sheath for this. I am starting to think leather is a really nice option for everyday, non-tactical use.

7.75" OAL
3.5" blade
I wanted a utility knife a little more friendly to gloved hands and I like a straight spined knife, although this has an ever so slight drop.
A true straight spine looked like it is curved up.

10" OAL,
4.75" blade
this is the first knife I have done with a contoured handle (think coke bottle shape)
exposed pommel, that you can still put serious hand pressure on without hurting your hand
I designed this blade for SWAT type use, and to be able to fit in a SPEC OPs nylon sheath. I am going to build a dropleg sheath for it at some point.
designed for a gloved hand or sausage fingers

That 3" looks really nice! Just to double-tap, I sent a PM regarding a seax the other day...hopefully it didn't get lost in the shuffle.

As a side note, why do you have to keep making stuff that questions the decisions that I made?
