What attachment hardware is everyone using for their AIWB holsters?  I have two Phlster Spotlights that I really like but the soft loops print really, really bad under some of my daily outerwear.  I'm looking for something lower profile but still secure on the crossbreed belt I run and I don't know what I don't know.

Also, anyone running a G43 in an AIWB holster?  I'm trying but the holster (I think) is too short and continually rolls outward.  I'm thinking a belt claw may help but not positive.

Thanks in advance!

Have you tried the solid loop? It's a soft loop without the pull the dot snap.  If that doesn't work, try the JM fixed belt loop?  I run a 43X in a Mastermind AIWB with no foam wedge.  No problems with outward roll.

Those look interesting.  I hadn't seen those before.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see a difference between what they are calling "behind the belt" and the others, which I assume are meant for the belt to thread thru.  At least going by the pics on the website, they're the same.  So are the pics just messed up or am I?

I assumed the behind the belt ones would go over the top of the clothing, down between the belt and clothing, and have a lip or something at the bottom to catch on the belt.  What am I missing?

I'm on their site now about to order a bunch of clips for sheaths, the "behind the belt" clips have a MUCH shorter clip.

example

The regular version that you thread your belt through or pop the clips over your belt have 1.5", 1.75" or 2.25" clip,

example

The behind the belt versions have about a .5" clip. They're meant to lock onto your clothing instead of your belt. I use the behind the belt version for pocket carry as the clip is much lower profile.

Ah, OK, I get it.  What was confusing me is the width of the portion that goes over the clothing.   Seems a little excessive, but I may order some of them in a day or two.  I was wondering if they were designed to grip the clothing and not rely on the belt to keep from pulling off upwards.  Thanks for the clarification.

I have replaced loops for printing by making thin leather loops and using Chicago screws rather than snaps.   You lose the snap feature but then I never use the snaps anyway.

I've also made the plastic loops print less by squeezing them tightly together in a vice a few times to give them some memory/set.     If I ever do another set I'll put some heat on the bend to see if it provides a better set.

To your second question - I carry a 43 in a Tier 1  agis elite which I've separated into the two components for more flexibility. It does roll some and yes adding a claw did help a bit. I'm still fiddling with it, next idea is to add a foam wedge to the body side.

I pretty much run soft loops exclusively.

I haven't used them much but if you absolutely refuse to dress like an adult male and wear a belt, the DCC clips seem nice. Seen good things about the ulticlip as well. Again, no firsthand knowledge of those.

Phlster Spotlight here, as well.  G-19 with Magpul magwell, TBRC comp, and TLR-1HL.  Single pull the dot loop.  No issues printing for me but its button down Cabelas Safari shirts  or similar in the summer or pullover hoodies most of the time in the winter.

I use PDS and screwed on "permanent" soft loops on JMCK holsters mostly.

The ones that're screwed instead on snapped are a little more low profile.

Some folks lightly iron the loops to flatten 'em a bit.  I have not done that.

If you get loops with no holes, you can punch the holes slightly tighter than what your belt width would be, that can make them tighter and therefore flatter.

For me, clips are lower profile, just not as secure as loops.  The wide clip Blade Tech makes is great though.  Still have those on some holsters I use occasionally.

By all accounts the DCC clips are excellent, gotta try some of those one of these days.
