Hi all.  First post here.  I had a high speed gear 8 magazine carrier in 2006 I had hooked up to my plate carrier and I don't have the straps or anything else for it.  I'm trying to figure out how to rig this up as a load carrier.  How do I post pics on here?  So you can see what I'm talking about.

I made a intro post already several days ago.  Simply explain how I post pictures on here and you can see the gear I rocked in battle.  Like said I want to turn it into a lbc.  It's just the mag holders and a pouch.  I'm looking for straps.

It’s easy if your a premium member , or so I’m told.  I’m not a premium member for reasons I won’t get into here and now. If you’re not a premium member I think you may still need to use a picture hosting website to add pictures to posts. Maybe not, though, as I’m pretty computer tech inept as well. Not much help but that’s all I’ve got for pic posting.

Not a gunfighter, but the photo doesn't show the back part. If there's MOLLE compatible platform then just use any of the flat molle chest rig/rack. If not/something else I'd recomment just sewing in fastex buckles and attaching straps either H or X whichever you prefer

That's how I used it in combat.  I'm looking to use it as a lbc not with a plate carrier.  I hear you though.

I was one of the first soldiers to get issued the molle shit.  I got extra pouches from my gunners and used that hsg mag carrier with flashbangs frags smoke flares pistol mags buckshot med kit and tools on my plate carrier.  Had mres and door breachers in that hsg pouch.  Idk what happened to that trash army issue molle vest.  I think I gave that shit to a pog.  Hey kaja I'm setting this up as a lbc.  Load bearing carrier.  Not a door kicker plate setup.  I know you arent a gunfighter.  You almost knew what you were talking about. Lmao I'm just kidding with you.  Gnight lightfighters.

I’m going to shoot straight and I may be the only one who thinks so, but fuck it that’s how we roll in here.

I don’t know you so I can’t gauge your sincerity, but you may turn some people off with your tone. It may come off as condescending to some “non-gunfighters” in here. I’ve been blessed to have had a significant amount of money spent by tax-payers on my ability to shoot things well and yet there are guys I’ve trained with that have never gone anywhere into the breach live... but they can run laps around me with a gun/gear.

The spirit of this place, while not kneeling to the need to worry about everyone’s feelings, is that there are no tiers. There’s CAG guys in here that learn from trash men and vice versa; I’ve seen it.  No one doubts or questions your gun-fighter status because we trust that folks in here are honorable people or they will eventually be PNG.

Anywhoodle, welcome aboard and enjoy your stay. I can offer no real help as the closet thing I can do is say that the harness from my Haley Strategic DC3R is pretty sweet, but I too took it off when I attached the rig to a PC.  It’s in my rolling gear bag, I think.

Sincerely,

A stateside door-kicker... well sometimes we blow the door up too.

What is left when honor is lost?

If it's the old HSGI DACH then any MOLLE H Harness will really do the trick.

Most of the new style ones attach the harness via fastex and might just need the buckles swapped out to mate up correctly, but you can go and grab any Tactical Tailor, ATS, etc. and make it work.

Push comes to shove, contact HSGI directly and ask them if they'd sew you up a new harness - if anyone knows exactly what that rig would use it would be them.

Having met Kaja stateside he is significantly understating his experience...

And while using stuff you're familiar with is good... this is 2019, not 2003. I don't rock the same shit i did in 2005 because tech and training have advanced. My 2005 rig still works, but a plate carrier and shingle is a lot easier to move in when you're running into an active shooter call... which was last week (real, turned out to be a hoax) and training (yesterday).

Oh yeah I definitely agree MrMurphy.  This is some ancient shit for sure.  I thought I lost all of my gear when I went through my divorce but I pulled this old baby out of some storage not long ago with all the issue mags and had the old kac grip in there.  Some rappeling rope a rescue hook knife and a small gun cleaning kit that connects to your gear.  I just wanted to put it together and fill the mags as something to just throw on if I ever needed it like over top a plate even.  I'm most likely giving it to my dad.  He served back in the 80s and through desert Storm.

Thank you for the help. it is the old  hsgi dach .  I thought about calling hsg also since they stopped making this year's ago.

I'm thinking with as many units they sold to the army and marines they probably have this shit still put away in their warehouse case anybody needs it.  Yeah it has the old standard buckles.  This is still a good piece of gear in my opinion.  It has all the extra storage inside also and you can't even feel it when you're wearing it.  My dad's bday is soon so I'll probably get it right for him.  When he served he wore the old lbe with the belt and suspenders with the clips.  So this is a big upgrade for him lol.

No not this thread bud.  Thanks for the help to those who gave me advice.  I got the answers I was looking for.  I never used as a stand alone LC and the rig was direct attach to the PC.  I've realized I'll either have to improvise with a harness I like and rig something up like someone said changing out all the connectors or contact hsg and see if they can hook me up with the original kit even though they don't make it anymore.

in searching for a DACH, I found this link...not sure if its valid or not:

http://www.combatreadyusastore...hestharnessdach.aspx

Then this EBAY link, gives one a better idea on the type of harness you/he is looking for:

My guess is that you may be able to get an H harness from Haley Strategic or OSOE gear that you may be able to rig up....if you have access to a tactical stitch bitch/rigger, they may be able to do the mods for you for a reasonable price. I would contact HSGI regardless...maybe they have the drawings somewhere to make you one. I know when Gene was there, he was good and doing that kind of thing....not sure about the new owners though.

Yeah that's some kind of Chinese knock off but I appreciate you trying to help.  I ended up just getting a hsgi  molle harness and attach it there but I actually like it better this way bc I can put ifak on there with tourniquet and readily accessible 30+ round Glock pistol mag pouches .  This rig I have is oldschool as hell man.  2005.  There is different DACHS.  Looks like a lot of knock offs and the legit ones they made over the years.  I saved pics of them.  This rig is special bc it's been through the sandbox with those mags.  The ones I saw with the harness are sowed on behind the top connectors and I saw ones with the straps sowed onto the belt.  Those are older ones.  Mine has no side clips.  Only 2 strap connectors on the bottom part.  I'm missing the belt extension that I don't need anyways.  So I said fuck it and got the hsgi molle harness.  What was something basic has turned into me putting a rack together.  Ended up working out.
