Joining Team Creedmore: PGW Coyote 6.5 CM

First, I LOVE my .308 Surgeon Scalpel.  For a hack like me, that itself is way too much gun.  But a couple of weeks ago, I temporarily lost my mind.

I have been stalking this rifle on Snipershide for a couple of months.  I was trying to sell a rifle and then flip the money immediately to this gun.  Every day I’d check his post as he was constantly bumping it up.  He and I to this day don’t know how this rifle wasn’t taken up in less than a week.  I just hope Stalin doesn’t notice the missing money.

This is a complete civilian kit.  All that’s missing is a titanium suppressor, laser and Schmidt and Bender scope.    Bastids.  So you get the Pelican case, the rifle, aluminum cleaning rod, cleaning kit, solvent, oil, 5 - 10rd. magazines and a ton of swag.  It is coated in a satin stainless steel cerakote and is NIB.

I was told that they haven’t made many of these in this caliber and it is not referred to in the manual.  The Coyote is almost always in .308.  Matter of fact, I’m going to drop them a line to find out the twist on the 26” barrel as again 6.5CM isn’t spoken about at all.

I’ll put the 5-25x56 Schmidt & Bender P4L On soon.  Hope to shoot next week.

Nice!

congratulations.

Be without fear in the face of your enemies. Be brave and upright that God may love thee. Speak the truth always, even if it leads to your death. Safeguard the helpless and do no wrong. That is your oath.

Plan to shoot fast, shoot accurately, and shoot until you see your attacker physically stop his attack on you.
Stopping is everything
Those who need to be shot should be shot quickly and often

I’m finding it hard to believe that no one has as yet asked “Can I have it?” So I won’t, either. But y’all know what I’m thinking. This place is slipping, yeah, that’s what I’m thinking.

Oh,  yeah. Nice pick up, my brother. Many happy trigger pulls to come, I’m sure.

What, she counts the brown paper bags?

Of course not.  That would be silly.  (It’s mason jars.  Shhhhhh.)

A cruel person might wonder why there are so many empty mason jars at Con Palace that you can use them for cash.

Not that it's any of my business, mind- but don't people who dabble in experimental alternative fuels (documented & undocumented) use them?

Nice, can't wait for the range portion of the next CBS

First thing; take that ridiculous brake off.

Now it'll look like a rifle and not an airsoft toy🤣

You will love the chassis AND the 6.5.

Nothing but fun.

I was hoping you would see this.  The brake is the civi model.  Mil get the brake for PGW’s titanium can.

It certainly looks the part.

You can get a good idea of the twist by using the cleaning rod. Here is the complete how-to by Sinclair:

If are unsure of the twist rate of the barrel, you can measure it yourself in a couple of minutes.

You need a good cleaning rod with a rotating handle and a jag with a fairly tight fitting patch. Utilize a rod guide if you are accessing the barrel through the breech or a muzzle guide if you are going to come in from the muzzle end. Make sure the rod rotates freely in the handle under load.

Start the patch into the barrel for a few inches and then stop. Put a piece of tape at the back of the rod by the handle (like a flag) or mark the rod in some way. Measure how much of the rod is still protruding from the rod guide. You can either measure from the rod guide or muzzle guide back to the flag or to a spot on the handle.

Next, continue to push the rod in until the mark or tape flag has made one complete revolution. Re-measure the amount of rod that is left sticking out of the barrel. Use the same reference marks as you did on the first measurement. Next, subtract this measurement from the first measurement.

This number is the twist rate. For example, if the rod has 24 inches remaining at the start and 16 inches remain after making one revolution, you have 8 inches of travel, thus a 1:8 twist barrel.

Regards.

Something does seem kinda wrong about a Canuck rifle, but it is a sweet looking rig. I'm afraid to go find the thread on the hide to see the price, though...That coming from the guy with stupid expensive GAP rig in his safe.

So where the hell are the photos of what it's doing on paper/steel/tissue?

Gentlemen,

Sorry about the delay but a series of unfortunate events (Netflix, check it out) have not allowed me the time to go to the range.  Between the brutal weather, horse comps and me studying for a new job, I just haven’t had the time yet.

I did manage to mount the scope.  I love S&B 5-25s.  Just consistently old reliable.  Also a big fan of P4F reticles which to me after all these years of new super reticles every few months are still great to use.  Also became an addict for Recknagel (Era-Tac) mounts.  No need for QD on a tactical rifle IMHO.

Now shoot it!!!

-TT has poor reticle choices so far

-That they almost duct tape the scope to the top of their rifles is of no concern to me

-Why didn't I think of that

Got your PM by the way.
