Looking at these two scopes one with TMR the other with Mildot/Crosshairs and they are running roughly the same price.  I have a mount that can go with the 56 objective already so mounts are a non issue.  The Question I have what is better for a AR-10 in .308?  I have one that really likes 150 grain PSPs and 168 grain SMK and just trying to find a scope that is not a 1x-4x.  The AR-10 has a Wilcox Raptar Lite on it and iron sights.

I have A Accupower 1-4 on the Rifle right now and I own the Leupold VX-R patrol that is on the SPR,  but I am willing to sell some stuff to make a better optic for future hunting since my Rem 700 with 3-15 Wever Tactical FFP scope is still in a manners stock and it’s too heavy to lug around.

I could pull off the scope on that Rifle and use it on the semi auto, but it is not illuminated.   I could use it if it would be better on the Than the other two scopes. This gun/ scope will be used at night.

This scope has to last for me for 3 years at least.

I see myself going on a gun diet very soon and would prefer to just use that limit funds on 9mm, 5.56, and .308.

I have the VX-R patrol 3-9.  It’s not bad.  The TMR reticle half hash marks are hard to discern over the full hash marks.  The fire dot isn’t super fast to change brightness levels on.  That aside, the scope isn’t bad, and is very useable in lower light settings.  I’ve killed a few deer in the last minutes of light using just the dot.  It pretty much does what I need it for and I’m happy with it, and it is very easy on batteries.
