thanks, i am really getting into japanese style knives at this point. not traditional by any stretch. my wife calls it post-apocalyptic japanese neo-tribal. she likes to use big words since she is getting her masters' this year.

this is my New Faith design. i just got a new camera and took some quick shots. i liked how they came out and thought i would share with the class. i am not a photographer but i thought these were kinda cool.

guns and knives on the 4th!! that is how it should be. i finished this one up on saturday. also got in some much needed range time on the 4th. this is a New Faith XL, i wanted a larger version for myself. this is getting strapped to my hunting pack for this coming season. it is 12" OAL, that should do pretty much anything i need a knife to do.

thanks, a lot of people don't care for the wrap because it is not traditional. but i like this drape wrap because of the folds and flowing look. i always thought the traditional wrap was too straight and starched looking. i like the wrap to have an organic look and feel to it.

i would wait until the hottest time of the year to start really cranking out some blades. it is unreal hot down here. looks like i am going full time with my knifemaking soon. thought i would share a few of my newest.

knives number one, two and four are evil as hell, I hate ancient look with sawtooth tiger engravings and sheath made of a mammoth nutsack, But your work is wonderful, cromagnon alpha males flint and Strider in one...I really live your knives.

Adam

thanks so much. i try to be original and never be boring, but still keep them very functional as well. here is one i just finished. it is a one off variant of the BullDozer model. i love how scales came out on this one.

something a bit more "tactical" for the masses. i had a good friend tell me to make more tactical knives. so this was what happened. it is flat ground to a convex chisel tip. should be hell for stout at any rate. not my normal fare, but it was great fun to make.

If I were you, I'd call that new version of the Bulldozer the "Hajdozer", and then send it to me, because that would be really cool. Big Grin

this is my latest fixed blade EDC. Slim Chance is my name for her. it is from O-1 tool steel and is just shy of 8" long. i saw this shape in an old book about japanese blades. all i really remembered was the shape. it looked so useful to me. i have been carrying one for a couple of days now, and i really like it.

i haven't made a file knife in some time. a buddy gave me a 12" Nicholson file that is most certainly older than i am. here is what i came up with. i wanted to make a design that was super slim and trim, but still quite tough.

this is my little EDC monster that i just finished. it is called Stormcloud and is from 1084fg and black canvas micarta. just a bit over 6" long, so it should be a great little carry piece.

What is the purpose of the cutout in the spine on some of your blades?

thank you, Whootsinator. i appreciate that. the cutout was a done just as an aesthetic addition to one of my designs, years ago. i started getting requests for that little square notch in other models and it has just become something i add from time to time.

the mrs. wanted a small knife for purse carry. she loves the Skinwalker profile, so this is what i came up with. the Skincrawler neck knife. i liked it, so i made a couple extra. thinking a nice kydex sheath with a chain.

How much for a slim chance, and what is the wait time looking like. I need something to wear IWB with a suit.

The Traveler

here is an older model with our Black Vein treatment. it is from O-1 tool steel and dymondwood scales. it is 8.5" long with a 4" blade. about to wrap some black and tan kydex around this one.

this is my Blue Sun model. it is from a big Nicholson file. it is 10" long with a 4.5" blade. it wears a right hand chisel grind up to a convex chisel tip. scales are brilliant blue dymondwood with steel pins. sleek piece.

your 'stormcloud' is gorgeous. well...they all are! it looks like it would draw-cut like a much bigger knife. I really like your non traditional geometry. I'm trying my hand now at some very primitive blade making and I feel like a monkey humping a football. it's not easy.
