My policy on "enough" so far has been to have enough such that I can go a full day of a heavy round count class without having to stuff mags.  NOTE: Not a full day of Jeff Gonzales training, but rather a full day of regular people training.

I socked away AR mags in the hundreds immediately after Obama got elected, and I just inherited about a hundred from my recently departed dad, so I'm good with AR stuff. His house just sold, so now I need to go deep on pistol mags. I am pretty deep on M&P 9mm (25+), but now I need Glock 17/19 mags after somehow acquiring some of them. I'm thinking on picking up something in .300 Blackout, so I need mags for that, too (Magpul makes dedicated PMAGs for .300).

I need to start adding PMags and Glock mags to my Brownells orders. One at time adds up over time.

This is the way to go. For a long time, my standing rule was that ANY order to ANY gun part place got three mags added on.

I just moved to PA, and there’s a small chain of sporting goods stores here called Dunham’s Sports. I didn’t think much of, since the one here in town is in an almost vacant shopping mall that probably won’t last much longer, from the looks of things. However, I decided to give them a shot and discovered that they sell Glock mags for $19.99. I signed up for their email list, and they send out a 15% or 20% off coupon about once a week, good for a discount on one item in the store. I picked up a G17 mag for $15.99 today, and I’ll probably be stopping by there once a week or so from now on.

Well, they have a pretty small selection on display - only about 12 Glock mags total for various models. I grabbed their last G17 mag today. I probably should ask if they have more in stock, but for $16.95 out the door, I don’t mind buying them one at a time. It’s kind of weird though, cause they’re kept in a locked display case, and their store policy requires the guy to walk the single magazine up to the front checkout counter for me...

It's not about the hassle of buying one at a time, it's about the next mag / gun ban. Imagine the 2008 / 2012-13 panic's on meth.

I’m... not quite sure what you mean. It’s not a hassle to buy the mags one at a time. The store just has funny procedures for magazines. I’m thrilled when I have the chance to get such a good price on mags. I lived through the ‘94 ban with $75-$100 Glock mags.

When they're all sold out due to a panic, it makes it hard to buy one at a time. Buy all you need now while they're available.

I (on behalf of my agency) just blew out CDNN's 21 round P320 magazines.  I bought 350 for the primary load if you're on patrol or the courthouse. Schools already had them, and Investigations can order their own.
