The retail is off a bit. I think it's up to 15K now. I just looked at one last week.

Yup, that was an older write up. Mine cost more then that, but less then the current price tag. You wont be sorry if you get one. Truly a one of a kind time piece.

I would like to place one on a Marathon JSAR.

I think Watchbuys is the only US distributor for Sinn:

I believe there is a guy on Evil bay that sells them
Thanks, I figured out that watchbuys.com seems to do a region block as their front page was blocked to me from Iraq. When I did a web search for their contact info, it managed to come up for some reason. However, I was unable to browse the catalog so I just talked to a guy there over the phone and ordered one of the U1 rubber straps.

Hit me up, if you still need parts from Sinn. Might be able to help you.

This Thread has me wanting a Sinn U1.

Is Watchbuys the best ( and most cost effective ) option?

I'm not sure about most people, but I love buying used stuff that's still like new. They're usually barely used, and you save a good chunk of money.

For example, this Like New Sinn U1 sold for $1500 about a month ago. http://forums.watchuseek.com/f...bracelet-566584.html

If you do want to buy used, keep an eye out on watchuseek
This is an epic thread with some excellent information.

I just ordered a Marathon GSAR from Jenny. The price was out freaking standing. I noticed the retail price increased from $750 to $910, the LEO/Mil discount had not increased yet. If you've been waiting now might be the time to buy.

It might be available directly from Marathon, but I found the link on the GSA catalog site.

Shut the front door! You gotta be kidding me.

It is better that they do it imperfectly than that you do it perfectly. For it is their war and their country and your time here is limited.

Look at the last post on page 37 of this thread--it's there.

My Tag Aquaracer. I bought it for myself after getting a promotion. It is off for repair and I am wearing my Luminox or old Swiss Army for now. I love the Tag but it has been a PITA for me beginning at 22 months It has gone back for repair twice. The automatic movement stopped working and it became a wind up watch. It is off to Amazon now for a full refund.

Luminox about ten years old? The numbers wore off quickly. I broke they glass, Luminox wanted $85, it only cost me $150. I had a local shop replace the Chrystal for $35 that was 7/8 years ago. The watch is light and works well for me, I bought the Zulu 4 ring band, the original was too small for me. I bought the wrong size but it's worked well, the Zulu is an outstanding band, looks a little ugly but still works 100% no stretching of band or holes.

Swiss Army Officer's watch, I've had it for a long time + 10 years, I like the 12/24 hour face. It is simple and works well for me.

I tried to delete the previous post. Sorry for the duplication. It said I needed a premium membership, must have been because I edited it once.

For those who fought for it Freedom has a flavor the protected will never know.

This is my oldest watch. It was a Graduation Present from HS in 1990. I wore it during the Gulf War. The sand was hell on the GMT bezel and crystal. Both were replaced by the Falcon Watch Company in the early 1990's. It worked well for me but has been sitting in a drawer for years.

Time to send it off for repair and outfit it with an OD Zulu. The bracelet has shrunk over the last 21 years and no longer fits.

I wore an OD nylon band and with a cover for the watch face I bought from Brigade QM. My Company Gunny chewed my ass for wearing a shiny watch in the field.

For those who fought for it Freedom has a flavor the protected will never know.

I've been reading this thread for a while and I am really like the JSAR and the TSAR. Well i wear a Sunnto Vector and was thinking about getting the Core until i started looking at this thread. My question is how does the JSAR and TSAR compare size wise to the Core and Vector? thanks
TSAR arrived yesterday, Maratac band installed, all is now right in the world.

I could put this watch in a sock and knock you flat. WOW!

Thanks to all for their input.

And in 38 pages of this badass thread, that is probably the most moto thing stated thus far.
