My tactical rifle gear is still a mix of old and new. Shit is stupid expensive. The last big ticket item that I lust after is a Hensoldt 60 rig but at over $4500, I'm going to have to wait a bit.
I have had this Swarovski 30x75 fixed spotting scope since new. It is green armored and to deploy it you telescope it out like Horatio Nelson and look about. No reticle of any kind but the glass....oh my Lord the glass....is flat out amazing. Also, it is an impact weapon if need be.
The tripod is and APO Tact-3 QEL and it an awesome piece of engineering as are all things APO. The price is also breathtaking as are all things APO. I got it used (note the dirt) but minty for $300. ($800 discount) Another guy was selling NOS padded cases for it for $60 so I made out well.
It also can be used for the Vectronix PLRF-15c, keeping it nice and level. More importantly, since the 15c has a compass built in, the tripod must be amagnetic which this model is. The tripod is extremely adjustable including a gimbal at the base to level it on uneven terrain.. I am going to get a couple of bubble levels to slap on it.
I have my Trimble 1050L inbound with FFS Delta V ballistic software installed and a gent on the Hide is making me a custom mount that will allow the future Hensoldt and the PLRF-15C to co-witness while they talk to each other electronically. Yeah, it's stupid complicated and I'm a dullard with this stuff so I plod along.
