Those scumbags at Photobucket have a new plan where you have to pay $399.99 to host pictures on websites now.  I need a better place to share from, who's got a good place?

Wondering if I am missing something.   I always wanted one but then moved on to something else since what the fuck would I do with it but stare at it.  I have heard of their wait times yet I also know where I can get a No 1 or No. 14, my favorites, right now for no more than Randall would charge.  Are you guys getting special features?  I know you can get different blade lengths, carbon or stainless , etc. but they don't seem to have a ton of options beyond that.

Consig, back in the early 1980s, I bought a Randall knife for elk hunting. I got a 6" #5 with a Sambar Stag handle. I love carrying it. Gotta be honest - if I'd bought a fighting knife, I would have wasted my money. First, I would never have a reason to wear it, because: Second, the guard makes for awkward field use. Third, Randall handles are too big for my smaller hands. The finger grooves on the #14 would have left me swearing. If I'd known, I would have requested a custom handle profile and sent a tracing of my hand size.

At the time, you could call the shop and Gary Randall would tell you what knives were finished and available due to cancellations. That's how I got mine with no waiting. If somebody has what you want in stock, I don't see a reason not to avoid waitlisting.

I traded my 18 for a 6" #5 with stag grips at a LGS 20 some odd years ago and never looked back. Feels good in the hand and it does work.

I got my Model 14 Attack (C3 Ironwood) back from my knife guy who inlaid Woolly Mammoth tooth scales into the handle and made a custom sheath for it.

He is also inlaying scales into my M-29 grips and making a matching holster for it.

Not Randall, but I love Mammoth tooth, so these three are from Gaétan Beauchamp in Québec, Canada
