I had the same. I ended up having to call them. Super easy and fast, and I got better instructions on proceeding since my FFL wasn't on file.

I did manage to get it ordered...still not exactly sure what the technical difficulties were.

FFL holders go one of two ways:

1. Here, take a copy in case you need something transferred

2. Have them get in touch with us, you cannot have a copy under any circumstances

Sadly, all my local options are option 2.  I think the folks at LaRue might be more user friendly, so I'll make a call to them when I get a chance to address that side of it.

If it makes you guys feel better, my ~$1000 LaRue rifle has, to date, cost me about $2500-3000 bucks.  I guess it's a good thing I just came back from one of those fun, sandy vacations the government sends me on occasionally.

I did some pricing for .308 builds and the LaRue is cheaper than buying the parts from Noveske.

Honestly, I'd like to see some weights and dimensions.

Put my .308 upper kit together today. Still awaiting lower ordered 9/15/17.

I'm fairly certain they got the every single upper kit's worth of order volume in about 24 hours...might take them a minute to catch up...

Called LaRue today to check on my lower.  I was concerned because my order was still marked 'Compliance Call Julie.'  The guy I got a hold of told me that Julie had gone for the day (it was 4:45 Texas time).

He told me that she had a huge stack of FFL facs on her desk to work through and that what was time consuming was that many of them didn't reference the order# or even person that the FFL was providing the  info for.

After I checked I realized that the instructions weren't very clear:

Please have Xxxxxx Xxxxxxx email a copy of their FFL over to juli@larue.com, or 512-528-9445
Please find your PDF invoice attached below.

Maybe I was lucky that Andy, my LGS guy, asked me 'Dan, you spell your last name Lehr, right?'  I'm hoping that he did indeed put that info on there, because many apparently don't.

So if your account still shows 'Compliance Call Julie' you might call and give them a heads up on what FFL is going to do the transfer for you.

I did some follow-up with my LGS - I'm confident they'll get it sorted.  I'm waiting on some backordered ammo right now, so I've a little time.  It shoots just fine with the CMT lower anyway...might just leave it and hang onto the lower.

My 6.5mm Grendel upper is now inbound.

According to the website, they ship with a carbine weight buffer.  Is that true?  Do they function well with it?  I am considering getting a vltor or BCM A5 extension to go with it but I cannot find anyone who has used an a5 with a larue upper.

My 6.5 Grendel has a carbine buffer.   Works fine.  I really enjoy shooting this rifle.  Sub MOA easy.  Rounds 4-6 on my sighting in target clover leafed at 100.  Dinging metal at 200 results in a black smear in the middle of the plate to paint after 5 or 6 rounds.  Did I mention I like shooting this thing?

Hopefully they'll get my lower shipped soon.

Larue upper

Is this any cause for concern?  The blue/grey area between the rails is also on the right and left side of the upper.  It acts like oxidization.  Oil and a shop towel will remove it but it turns the towel the same bluish color.  Did anyone else get an upper like this?  I don't care what it looks like, but if it's a bad anodizing job I'm mildly concerned about it.

thanks for that info, I thought carbine was light, but now I realize that Larue knows what they are doing and I should just use what they send.  I had a wacky Idea about swapping back and forth between a 6.5mm and 5.56mm upper with no buffer change.

FYI My brother is waiting on a Larue lower as well.  He called them the other day and got told they were waiting for a new batch to come in.  Apparently, a lot of people jumped on the lower offer.

I've not received my lower.

As to the discoloration...I didn't notice anything like that on mine.  However, in honor of Pat, it got rattle canned with Aervoe shortly after assembly.

No lower for me yet.

I sent an email a couple weeks ago. They asked for patience and stated they are getting them out the door as fast as they can.

For reference, I got mine in UDE.

Mine came this weekend!

7.62 ultimate upper/lower, Trijicon Accupower 2.5-10x56, YHM LTA can I've had for a while

Not a bad setup for $3100 total... now I need to shoot it

Well my lower arrived today and I swapped the MBT out of the receiver I had been using and installed it in the LaRue lower, also swapped the RE, stock and grip.

Very pleased with the o'all finish and color match (yeah, I know) also how solidly the upper and lower mesh together - no play whatsoever.

The lower receiver exchange shouldn't impact how it shoots, so color me happy with my complete LaRue in 6.5 Grendel.

My lower that was ordered on 9/19 finally arrived on 11/27.  Haven't built it yet, but even the FFL commented on the quality.  I'm sorely tempted to also get one in 6.5CM or .308, but I'm the po-lice and therefore poor.  These things are just such a bargain, relatively speaking.

Still waiting on my UDE lower. Getting anxious about it...

Our new Governor is going to pass some serious gun legislation that may make it impossible for me to get it after mid January.

Anybody see the suppressor sale price along with the upper kit?

I just called to confirm Julie received an updated copy of my LGS' FFL and Dan at Larue mentioned sub $400 308 Tranquilo.

I just got a SF Ryder 9mm and Sig 556 can out of ATF  purgatory, that's a screaming price to have another stamp

Soup

Just got an email from LaRue Tactical about a new builders kit. The LaRue SUURG.

I sure wish they would just get the lowers out the door instead of putting out new upper kits. It’s been over 3 months since I ordered and paid for my lower.

Has anyone gotten a UDE lower yet?

Mine was FDE, IIRC it was right at three months.

FDE for me as well, sorry. Ordered 10/8, delivered 12/15.

I ordered 9/12 and my CC was charged ~ 5 days later. I sent my FFL info while I was on the phone and verified 3 times they had it, it was correct, and they didn’t need anything else. I emailed them about 2 months out and got “Everything is in order, you just need patience” as a response.

Now that I think of it, I also never got my LaRue 2017 Christmas ornament this year....

Emailed LaRue last night. I just heard back from them. They said that some of the heavy lowers came back with UDE. They are still waiting on the lights.

My UDE lower came today.

It’s very nice! Can’t wait to build it this weekend.
