RAVEN CONCEALMENT PERUN

I’ve had one for my comped 19 (ordered one for a G34, fits perfect) for  several months now. It’s my go to holster when doing work in the garage or yard, where much bending at the waist makes apoendix carry uncomfortable.

Despite Raven’s prolific presence in our world info and reviews on the Perun have been scant. I’ve had the LC model a couple of months now and it’s not bad. I think the edges could be chamfered but that could be accomplished by the end user. I’ve also been debating cutting down the outside sweatguard but haven’t done it yet.  Ride height is different than my Phantom (read: lower) and therefore sticks out of a garment below the belt line.  I do feel it rides closer to the body than the Phantom.  The retention adjustment is a bit finicky - I actually adjusted mine this morning because I felt like it had loosened with use.  All in all the product isn’t bad and meets the price point.

How do you review a holster (other than Serpa?) It either provides retention or not. It is comfortable to wear or not. It comes at a horrible price or it is affordable.  You can actually draw your pistol or it binds up in the holster requiring a 100 ton crane. The Perun meets all the above for me for my OWB carry.  But as the weather begins to warm up I have restarted IWB carry for day to day.  I would try the Eidelon but it definitely does not meet the price break and I hate some assembly required.
