I Use a standard Wilderness 3 Pt sling with my A-2 which I like very much. We recently got in PAQ-4's and I 'm Curious if the way the front sling point mounts to the front swivel and around the handguards will interfere with the PAQ-4. Has anyone else ran into this problem? is there a fix or will I need to look at another sling as an option?

A single point sling is not an option as it's an Issue weapon. And you know how uncle sugar gets when you start going -20 level on his stuff to install non issue equiptment.

Thanks for the clarification Basicload. Wrenchin on my weapon is not an option I want to pursue. I draw the weapon, change slings and I'm ready to go. Has anyone tried a three point sling to see if it works with the issue PAQ-4 mount(the one that mounts to the barrel and sticks thru the handguard holes).?

Maybe I need to look at this from a different angle, can I live without the PAQ-4? Being a PSG in a Anti-Armor Plt , I don't consider myself to be a primary shooter. And us old school guys are not that big on all the fancy doodads like all my young studlys seem to be. Maybe a little 90MPH tape as an option if I really feel the need to have one, based on the mission. let me here from the masses!!!

There is a Patrol sling adapter with NSN from Boonie Packer, that when combined with a side sling adapter (used on M203 & M4) works great wonders. They are the best of all worlds...Issue, Inexpensive, and Simple. Wink
Use Patrol sling adapter with side sling adapter for top mounted accessories, Patrol sling adapter by itself with side mounted ones.
In either case you use the issue sling (the longer M4 sling is best). Wear as 2-point, 3-point, or conventional sling.
