I just replaced my 1.75" width riggers belt with an Eagle 2.00" duty belt, which is gonna lock in more solidly with my drop UBL on my drop-modded 6280 holster. My problem is with the underbelt issue. Does anyone make a suitable underbelt with hook velcro on the outside to mate up with the loop velcro on the inside of the Eagle duty belt? Does anyone make an underbelt that'll fit the belt loops on normal jeans? That option would be nice. I once had one that was for an Ernie Hill competition rig that was ideal but it's gone now.

I see from the thread search that J. Willis makes an simple underbelt that may be desireable since he can add velcro to the outside of it. He also makes nylon keepers that I suppose I could use in conjuntion with my Wilderness 1.5" 5 stitch belt.

What do most of you use for an underbelt? Does anyone make a slightly thinner one, 1.5" width or smaller, with only velcro as the fastener and no buckle?

Not sure what bad things might happen if you cross BHI and Eagle.

Another option if you like the rigger's belt, is to have someone add velcro around the outside.

I use a CRspeed competition underbelt with an Eagle duty belt. Both have fuzzy velcro, so I took scrap hook velcro, foldet it over itself and glued it together to make "hidden beltkeepers" -little pieces of velcro with hook on both sides that anchors the underbelt and outer belt together. Pretty Ghetto, and I haven't used it much, so YMMV with regards to durability. I think I would have sewn them together for durability if it was for long-term, serious use. Or if I had a real sewing machine... However, it is a fast and cheap solution if you already have a soft velcro underbelt since we all have pieces of scrap velcro around, right?

I have also used beltkeepers (from issue LBV) to anchor the duty belt to a Liger gunbelt. It works, but donning an doffing gets much slower and more cumbersome.

Thanks for the replies guys. The Eagle duty pants belt looks good but for the life of me it appears that the velcro on the outside is loop, which wouldn't mate with the loop velcro on the Eagle duty belt. Shouldn't it be hook velcro on the pants belt? They're meant to work together so I can't see it not being correct, but my eyes are deceiving me. Anyone out there using the system to confirm? Also, what width is the Eagle duty pants belt? 1.5" or larger? Pain in the !@#ss that it's not written on the website page.

Try Uncle Mikes, I have been using their underbelts for years. Sitcky velcro is on the outside.

Sorry about the necropost, I guess EricO has solved his problem long ago,but I just bought an Eagle duty pants belt. So i post the answers to his questions anyway, in case anyone else is interested. The underbelt is 1.75 inches wide, has soft velcro on the outside, and a short length (ca 15 cms/6 inches? sorry I am metric)of hook velcro on one end to hold it together. It mates to Eagle's duty belt via belt keepers that come in a set of six with the belt. They wrap around the duty belt like normal velcro belt keepers. The belt keepers have hook velcro both on the side that goes on the inside of the duty belt and on the side that goes towards the pant belt, achieving the same that my homemade beltkeepers did, but much more solidly.
