Does anyone have any experience with the UF Pro Striker XT Gen 2 pants? Some of our SWAT guys have been trying them out for the past month or so, and seem to enjoy them. I'm looking to replace our basic Tru Spec BDU's. There aren't a lot of options with navy blue. The online reviews I have seen seem to be positive, but haven't come across any mention of them on LF.
What are you looking to do with them? SWAT ops, pro-act patrol, warrant unit? Do you need a matching top?
Here are some BDU-type pants that I found in navy that are not just standard BDU's,
The pants will be used for executing search warrants (dynamic entry), vehicle take downs, call outs, trekking through brush for grows... stuff like that as a narcotics detective. I won't be wearing them like SWAT for 8 hours a day as a uniform, I guess it could happen, but it won't be the standard uniform attire. Some of the Helikon options look alright, I hadn't come across those yet. UF Pro only came on my radar since a lot of our tac guys are starting to switch over to them.
I wouldn't need a matching top given I mostly wear some variant of a long sleeve UA shirt, and have the bicep protectors with our current issued vest, so the pockets would be useless. I am open to some of them though given the summer heat in Texas.
These might be my favorite pants ever, http://www.eddiebauer.com/prod...;sizetype=&size=
The blue is not quite navy, but it's close.
I have a pair in black and saddle and shorts in saddle, they get worn for everything from hiking, snowshoeing and everything range related. Do not pay full price, EB runs sales all the time, 50% right now with code AURORA. Sized like any other pants you currently wear.
