After some quick searching, I did not see any thread regarding this optic and wanted to get something out there. Roughly a year-18 months ago we had a gen 1 on T&E, and the general impressions were good, but the lack of NV was a deal killer. We recently got the gen 2 in on T&E, and got them mounted and zeroed yesterday morning, so no long term results but I will update at the end with the outcomes, and try to answer any questions if they arise.
One is mounted on an 11.5" ELW BCM, one on an older Colt Commando 11.5. During initial zero, both shooters remarked that the reticle was easier to resolve on target than was the MRO reticle. One unit exhibited very tactile clicks (1/2moa), one unit also had very tactile clicks with the exception of one specific "click" that had a more "mushy" feel to it more reminiscent of an RMR click. Both units zeroed easily, and reticle got plenty bright despite it being very sunny, very hot, and cloudless. Glass quality is (subjectively) very good. Its not Razor good, but it beats the T2s and MROs handily.
All operating controls for the unit are on the rear, leaving those running piggybacked magnifiers having to hunt a bit more for brightness adjustments than they do on the T2s or MROs.
The reticle is a love or hate thing. Guys who like eotech reticles, will like this. Guys who hated them, will hate this, at least that has been the experience passing them around.
Will run them under NV some this week and try to do some more formal(ish) parallax testing.
