I have some stuff in ACU that I want paint in Ranger Green.

Have anyone had any good experience with a particular brand/color?

If so, what kind and where to get it?

I PM'd Duke about this not too long ago, he has a bladetech holster he painted that matches very well (it's pictured in the first line belt thread in the Stud Board) His response was that it was from Wal-Mart. The only camo paint I could find at Wal-Mart was the Krylon Camo Olive Drab, atleast that's what I think it was called.
On a side note, I have a lot of modeling paints and tried this same thing, the best match I found was Reaper Miniatures Pro-Paint Stock #08049 "Troll Flesh" The huge down sides to this is the paint can be expensive, hard to find, and a big pain in the ass to paint on with a brush and a larger pouch like an IFAK can take alot of paint.
Hope this helps.... Roll Eyes

I don't remember if it was Lowe's or Home Depot but they had something with some gay spice name (Sage? Oregano?) that blended very well and was a lot closer to Ranger than Olive to spray hard items like stocks and other hardware. It covered woodland OK to blend canteen covers.

Kickin it throwback here....anybody have any luck with a spray that matches ranger green ie: crye and deadbird.  My only experience is with the krylon od and while it worked with a former gun just wanted to see if there was anything a bit closer

Don't look at me in that tone of voice

If you have a model/hobby store nearby, Testors or Tamiya make spray paints that are a wider selection of colors.  I think "Euro Green" or "German Green" is the name of the color that's the best match.  Not as hardy as say, Krylon, but you can spray a sealer over it to keep it longer if that's what you're after.
