Where to get stuff

I got a couple packs on the way. I am slow enough sewing this thing I may not get there till they arrive. Stupid actual paying work getting in the way.

Request for source - 1/4" embroidered name tapes.

I am looking for a vendor to make 1/4" name tapes, similar to what went on the sleeve pocket of the ECWS Jacket.  The regular size name tape takes up a lot of room.

1-800-name tapes has them, just a crappy site so impossible to find if you don't know they are there:

Where to find few yards of Multicam Alpine over-white fabric? Have been trying to search the web left and right, but can't find anybody selling small quantities.

************************************************************************ "If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much space."

Where to get: Hypalon (okay, CSM probably) in reasonable sizes (not boat repair sizes), in whatever weight I want to make a chest rig from, and in RG (or OD Green, CB as a distant second)?

Not rolls of it. As little as 1 yard would do (as long as they come 45 or 60") but I'd take more to have on hand if I can get it.

I MAY be able to line up laser time here in town, and will make something in the modern cut out lightweight style if I can pull it all together.

Hello guys, it has been some time since I posted here but I figured if anyone would know, it would be someone here. I am looking for 1.5" coyote brown silicone beeded non-slip elastic webbing like what Safariland uses in their leg straps on the drop leg holsters.

The black strap can be seen here:

Anyway, if you know of a source, please let me know.

Those little 1" first aid patches, preferably somewhat subdued (red on green say). I do not want velcro, as I want to sew them on, not stitch rip first, and I'd rather not buy Condor, etc. if I don't have to. That's most of what I can find regardless.

They all seem to have Velcro now.

Are you sure you want 1" x  1"? It's kinda small.  Gadsden and Culpepper have a good choice and I am satisfied with them.  They may do one with out Velcro if you ask.

I was thinking of attaching to a 1" pull strap, but I could go bigger. Will ponder more.

Interesting point. I need only a handful, so hadn't thought of embroidery.

Is this for something worn on a vest or mounted in a car?

Worn on a vest. Previous one had velcro in a similar place and it something moved or peeled off. Not a lot, but sometimes. Not critical as I can buy one of the above and either live with velcro or stitch rip, just interested if I can find what I want.

Is Supply Captain still working?  Their website seems to have been down for a month now.  They seemed like a good source for a mix of stuff.

On another note, what is a good source for fuzzy velcro in multicam?  I need like 2' by 2".  Non-sticky kind, will be applied to another surface with shoo-goo.

They claim to have gone down for maintenance but it should have taken a day and is indeed now at 31 days.

They have a public visible location (a store?) so is anyone in NY a regular, know for sure?

Yes because I have some and it's called... dammit. Now that you ask I forgot. Sigh.

Got it:  ToughTek

Neoprene covered. Not Heat Resistant. Won't burn too bad, but if it gets too hot the surface gets smooth. Forget suppressor covers, even be careful burning off loose threads when sewing.

Due to grip, I like to glue it across the surface and then sew the edges vs quilting it. Grippy enough on the front, smooth enough on back that it can still bunch oddly in the quilted areas between stitching, but I am only so good a designer of fabric things so if someone else says otherwise, trust them.

Hey guys where do you get your Elastic Webbings from? I haven't yet found a good source on Coyote Brown and Ranger Green elastics- they usually have either bad shades of Coyote or Green or just poor quality of the elastic overall... Thank you!
