Is anybody using these? I went to a gel shoot a couple of years ago and they looked promising, but would like some end user feedback. I bought a case of them to try out and sent some to Doc for testing, don't know if he has had a chance to do a work up on them yet. They did not seem quite as accurate as our current federal, but we have gone all slug, so if these live up to the hype it may be worth me revisiting them.

New Brunswick PD in NJ is using them but no real world uses yet. They haven't reported any problems with running them during qualifications.

We use them for putting down deer so far they have worked awesome. The last deer I had to put down I shot him in the head from about 10 feet away. Dead right there and the slug stayed within the head.

Does that short penetration track worry you?

Can you elaborate? We are still considering these.

So far they seem very effective against deer, granted deer in my are  usually 150lbs or less.

Doc told me the segments were prone to track off, potentially missing vital organs.

Personally, I have experienced way tto many issues with their pistol ammo, and my confidence with their products is low. I refused to but their stuff after problems with about four pallets of 9mm ball, and other rounds. Especially now that I have to buy my own ammo again, my dollars go elsewhere.

We used to run the following:

12 Gauge Federal Tactical Rifled Slug LE127 RS

12 Gauge Federal Tactical 00 Buck w/ Flitecontrol Wad LE132 00

In the infinite wisdom of the range staff, we sold it all and bought the Winchester RA12RS15S. No more buckshot. We've only used it on deer. Our last OIS was with the LE223T3 a few years back. Worked well. No shotgun uses on people just yet.

I too am interested in these findings, as I've debated buying a case to keep at home.
